Taking our funny quizzes.
Squeezing into one corner in Bishan library.
Looking very shocked when people stepped on the trefoil in the Guides HQ.
Panicking last minute.
Participating in BPquest.

We're proud of you.

Despite such a short period of time, we know that you have put in your best effort to remember the long long long history of guiding and to revise everything you have ever learned in guides. We hope that this BPquest has helped you to understand guiding better, and that you will share the experience and knowledge with others.
In the end, what's most important is that you had fun.

NDP OUTDOOR REHEARSAL

Hello!

Today was the outdoor rehearsal for NDP. So here are some videos and photos which were taken. (ignore all the conversations okay?)
Anyway, the sec4s want to apologise for not coming down often to see the squad's progress and helping to find ways to improve your marching, as much as how the ex sec4s used to, for our prelims is way much earlier than theirs.

So hope all of you won't take it to heart, and hopefully, these videos and photos will be able to help all of you to improve? Look at the videos and photos, spot the mistakes, be it marching, posture etc, of yourself or your friends. Make use of them to correct the mistakes and improve!

The sec4s are very pleased to say that there has been a great improvement since the start of the trainings. Continue to work hard, we believe the guides contingent will be able to perform its best on NDP itself. We will cheer really hard for the squad, so have faith, and all of you will be able to do it!

Last but not least, do take good care of yourself this few days, drink more water and dont fall sick!

Remember, always keep your chins up, stand straight, lock your arms and look smart! Be proud of yourself and of guides! It is always an honour to be in the squad!

Add kero!

sec4s.

S'MORES! :D

Outdoor cooking has been our strength and what we showcase as our forte for quite some time now, but I thought that instead of the usual just-the-marshmallow and chocolate banana splits we could have a new addition that is in fact, quite an old campfire tradition (first found in a 1927 Girl Scout Handbook) named:

SMORE! (or a contraction of "Some More")!

Why?
1) It's delicious, simple, slightly messy but still very much feasible! :D It's bitesized to make you want Sommore!
2) Though it's clear origins remain unknown, it was originally found in a 1927 Girl Scout Handbook!
3) All you need is:

Recipe

1 graham cracker (there's Honey Maid Graham Crackers, though I'm quite sure other crackers that are rectangularly long will do well)

1-2 marshmallow(s)
4 chocolate squares/1 piece of chocolate

And as quoted from the Camp Olave webpage:

To make a perfect S'more place a piece of chocolate on a graham cracker, toast a marshmallow on a stick over the fire until it [melts], place the marshmallow on the chocolate and top with another graham cracker. Careful! The marshmallow is hot but so tasty!

2D structure:

GRAHAM CRACKER
MELTED MARSHMALLOW
INDUCED HALF-MELTED CHOCOLATE SQUARES/PIECE
GRAHAM CRACKER

YUM!!!@_@

4) Of course, we can vary the chocolate (amongst milk, white & dark) and the crackers (flavoured) or even add fruits like bananas into a longer biscuit to form very delicious treats to pass it on! ^_^

5)PLUS PLUS! We can use our special guides crackers (the 3 flavours) too to Clear Unsold Stock! :D Brilliant! Ingenious! xD

My promotion ends here. So the incharges, do consider! :D

"S'mores. A confection made from graham crackers, marshmallow, and chocolate heated until the contents melt. The word "s'mores"--always used in the plural--is short for "some mores," referring to one's appetite for more than just one. It is a cookie said to be particularly popular at Girl Scout's campfire cookouts."
---Encyclopedia of American Food and Drink, John F. Mariani [Lebhar-Friedman:New York] 1999 (p. 298)
