Annual Camp 2014 Announcements

Hi Guides. Please read ALL the information stated below regarding Annual Camp this year. Please also inform your friends who are still overseas, once they are in Singapore just in case they forgot to visit the blog when the message has been relayed.

1. All guides are to take note that you are no longer required to bring 3 rolls of toilet paper as a patrol. We have sufficient amount of toilet paper in the guides store that we have checked and approved clean and hygienic to use. Instead, you are required to bring newspapers for the camp as the guides store might not have enough for your second night in tent. Unless you are fine with sleeping on wet groundsheet, we highly suggest each guide bring 3-4 sets of Straits' Times newspaper for the camp. If you are worried that it is too heavy for you to carry it throughout camp, you can come 15-20 mins before the reporting time and hand it over to the QM to bundle the newspaper up.

2. To all guides, please bring an extra pair of COVERED shoes for water activity. We are sorry that we had forgotten to include that in the pack list. You are warned that if you do not wear a pair of covered shoes for the water activity, the instructors will not allow you to enter the boat. It need not be a waterproof shoe, it can be a canvas shoe but please make sure you have an extra pair for you to wear throughout the entire camp. Additionally, please bring your own thermometer, labelled with your name and group name. The First Aiders will not be able to take your temperature if you happen to feel unwell during the camp if you do not bring one and you will not be allowed to borrow from your friends.

3. Here are the groupings for Annual Camp 2014. Please note that campfire performance is NOT by groups but by levels. You may start planning for your performance if you want to. For those of you who have seen the groupings before, please look through it AGAIN as there has been few changes made since the last release of the groupings.

Also, please refer to page 3 of your camp booklet and make these necessary changes. For the patrol duties, change the group name of 'Captain America' to Wolverine and change the group name of 'Winter Soldier' to 'Sabretooth'. Thank you.

Manito Song

Hi Guides,

The following is the lyrics for the manito song. We will be singing the song during annual camp. Please look through and memorise the lyrics.

I love my manito yes I do x3
I love my manito but i won't say who
I've a feeling warm and gay as she cast her eyes my way.
I'll reveal her name some day but who she is I will not say.
